Futaba Receivers – Important safety related software update
To avoid a potential fly-away and ensure continued safe operation, users of the Futaba receivers listed below are advised to ensure that their receivers are updated to the latest software version (listed alongside).
R7201SB / R7301SB v1.5
R7206SB / R7306SB v1.4
R7208SB / R7308SB v2.4
R7214SB / R7314SB v1.4
The updates include not only the previously announced feature additions, but also a significant improvement in the receiver’s recovery performance when it enters an unintended operating state due to external noise caused by static electricity or other electronic devices.
Guidance on how to perform the updated can be found on the Futaba UK facebook page. If you are unable to do this yourself, the advice is to return your Rx to the service dept. at J Perkins Distribution.

There are also instructional videos on the Futaba.UK Facebook page demonstrating how to update receivers using either a transmitter or a CIU-3 dongle.
